This is a necessary subject in 2026, born from feature interviews a decade ago. Through others the author struggled with similar topics of mental torment, doubt, and sexual abuse that inversely and negatively affected aspects of her life.

Such a serious, tender subject Francene chose to write it as a fiction novel to allow for some distance for the reader although sections are sure to resonate. A taboo topic, it is time victims were no longer victimized by ignorance, the legal system, and those who are not educated on this grave subject.
