Included are seven plus stories to balance and heighten the themes found when the unexpected in life occurs. Read of the tremendous salt-of-the-earth people she found, and never give up on yourself.

Antigonish Concussion Clinic

Dr. David Cudmore
Thank you, Dr. Cudmore, an
expert on concussions,
for the tremendous work you did while the concussion
clinic was open.
It is advisable to go to a doctor the minute you suspect a concussion and you have symptoms. For the best chance at recovery, find experts in concussion and head injury for time is of the essence. It took four months before my sisters tracked down possible help for me, which may have been detrimental to my recovery. The Antigonish Concussion Clinic with Dr. David Cudmore, and physiotherapist, Tara Sutherland was an excellent support for St. FX athletes and referred patients, but it had to close its doors during the COVID years. The Stories Within
Rhiannon Chisholm
Dedication
A former student
and a dear friend.
My heart sank
when I heard.
What a story!
Beyond believable.
Check this woman out!

Melinda Crawford

A former student, and family friend, I've known Melinda's (MacLean) family for many years,
and they are good salt of the earth folks.
A close friend with my girls Melinda often spent time at our house, and I wondered at her beauty inside and out. Upon graduation, she wanted to help others and she became a nurse.
I met her in 2017 at the concussion clinic and I told her about my yoked, prism glasses and how they were helping me,
and so began a reconnection.

Cara Palmer
A good friend and confidante in the early days when I was trying to understand what was going on.
A younger story balances mine where I was 58 when I fell.
Isn't she gorgeous!

Taylor Lambke

I met Taylor in an unusual way, when I was shopping for a vehicle.
Because of my head injury there was no way I could go to a dealer and listen to the sales pitch and hype. I texted him, and over the months he patiently replied and his fine character showed.
I mentioned my concussion as I still had serious issues. He shared how a concussion also turned his life around. For all the hockey players and athletes I added his story.
